When Jesus Christ called his first disciples He said to them “Come, follow me, and I will make you fishers of men”. (Matthew 4:19). In His last instructions to his disciples he said “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations …”. (Matthew 28:19). It is clear that disciples of Jesus Christ are called to make more disciples. From May 24, through to June 28, 2015 we will examine what this means for each follower of Christ. We will review how to clearly communicate the Good News which can be summarized in five elements:
GRACE – Heaven is a free gift that cannot be earned.
MAN – We have sinned and can do nothing ourselves to “make things right” with God
GOD – Who is both merciful and just, does not want to punish us but must punish sin
CHRIST – who is both God and man, purchased a place in heaven for us
FAITH – is placing full trust in Jesus Christ – alone – for our salvation
