The New Testament book of Hebrews was written to early Christians who were going through difficult times. Their faith was being tested, and some must have wondered if it was all worth it. The writer of this book encouraged them by pointing to ancient heroes and heroines who lived out their faith (Hebrews 11). Some demonstrated it by a single act while others lived their faith over many years. These men and women can also teach us something about faith.
